The following is an excerpt from Becker’s Hospital Review.

On July 16, U.S. News & World Report announced the 2024-2025 “Best Hospitals” rankings and ratings, which assessed nearly 5,000 hospitals in 35 medical and surgical services.

This year, U.S. News began including Medicare Advantage data in the rankings. Hospitals in 11 adult specialties were examined on their risk-adjusted mortality rates in patients insured by Medicare Advantage plans. 

The following 20 hospitals made the 2024-2025 Best Hospitals Honor Roll, meaning they earned the most points out of the possible total of 543 across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Hospitals that earned at least 280 points are recognized. 

Each hospital on the Best Hospitals Honor Roll ranked No. 1 or tied for No. 1 in their state. They are:
