The following is from Gallup News.
A recent Gallup poll shows that 71% of Americans say they believe doctors should be “allowed by law to end the patient’s life by some painless means if the patient and his or her family request it.” Support for legal euthanasia has remained steady over the past decade.
Support for doctor-assisted suicide is slightly lower, with 66% of Americans saying they are in favor. This method involves a patient ending their own life with the aid of a physician. While both practices have majority support, support for doctor-assisted suicide has risen from an average of 58% between 1996 and 2014 to 66% today.
Slim Majority Views Doctor-Assisted Suicide as Moral
When it comes to the morality of doctor-assisted suicide, 53% of Americans say they believe it is morally acceptable, while 40% say they view it as morally wrong. The morality of euthanasia was not directly polled, but attitudes toward doctor-assisted suicide reflect a broader ethical debate. Religiosity plays a significant role in these views; 67% of those who seldom or never attend religious services say they consider doctor-assisted suicide morally acceptable, compared to just 29% of regular attendees.
Demographic Differences
Democrats (79%) are more likely than Republicans (61%) to support legal euthanasia, and similar gaps are seen in views on doctor-assisted suicide. Regionally, residents in the West (66%) and Midwest (60%) are most likely to consider doctor-assisted suicide morally acceptable, while only 39% of those in the South say they agree.
Most U.S. subgroups are more inclined to support euthanasia than doctor-assisted suicide, although Democrats and women are about equally likely to say both should be legal. Despite majority support, these issues remain complex, reflecting the nuanced views Americans hold on end-of-life decisions.

I am squarely in the minority. And this reflects the lack of regard for human life in our society today. It’s a very slippery slope. I can easily see a government like the one the left is proposing that would deny care to aged citizens meaning their choice of euthanasia would be made for them. Dr. Rahm under the BHO regime was proposing denial of care to the elderly. We’ve seen a genocidal regime in modern civilization, Don’t want to see it again.
Mary,
Does your “minority” position include any CONCERN

“BABYCIDE,” my term, more correctly defines what
“abortion” really means : as one ABORTS a plan but
KILLS a baby ( kills a wombed baby ).
Similarly, my conservative friends are M O R O N S not to
point this out : It is “De-Planned Parenthood,” which better
describes its many HUMAN slaughterhouses across this
once-moral/-Christian America.
By the way, what must little girls and boys think/feel
about an OPTION which may have eliminated their own
very existence ? And what must boys think of women who
CHOOSE to do such a thing (( Biggest Lies : Women are not
using BABYCIDE as birth control; and haven’t used it to
punish a boyfriend, for whatever reason—and, well, he does
not like using a condom, or “I forgot to take my PILL )) ?
I’ve 70, or so, more problematic terms RIGHTISTS
