(POLL) Trump Leads Harris 49% to 46%

The following is from Rasmussen Reports

Former President Donald Trump still leads Vice President Kamala Harris, but the Democrat continues closing the gap.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that, in a two-way matchup, 49% of likely voters say they would vote for Trump, while 46% say they would vote for Harris.

Two percent (2%) say they’d vote for some other candidate, and another two percent (2%) are undecided. These findings show a closer race than a week ago, when Trump led by four points, with 49% to Harris’s 45%.

The survey of 1,893 was conducted on August 15 and 18-21, 2024, by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Trump continues to lead by a substantial margin among independents. In a two-way matchup between Trump and Harris, 51% of voters say they favor Trump, while 40% say they prefer Harris.

  1. Interesting how many other “pools” say Harris is head. I’m thinking they are part of the left, trying to convince the voters she’s ahead of Trump by 3-6 points. When in fact she’s falling behind, because her message is a lot of bs and nothing more than a Biden agenda which most know is a total failure. A short list….
    1. Open border, just to be spiteful to Trump.
    2. Stopped border wall construction, another spiteful jester.
    3. Shut down the Keystone Pipeline.
    4. Used strategic oil reserves to compensate for gas prices, very stupid!
    5. At 3.5 years in office all of a sudden he’s closing the border? Election year politics, nothing else.
    6. His “green initiative” failure. why? Just look at his Air Force One trips every dam weekend to Delaware.
    7. Look at his failing mental state and how the fake Democratic’s were hiding it for months, years.
This is just a short list………

  2. This, of course, was prior to RFK Jr endorsement of Trump, and was conducted during the lead up to the DNC convention. This will be more interesting after Labor Day.

  3. Ms Attkisson, can we truly trust the poll results? If 46% of the voters in the US are ignorant to the point of zero regard for “policy” and “performance”, and are only choosing Kamala (Obamala) based on the propaganda they hear, or make decisions based on “programming” (i.e., indoctrination), then we may presume that close to half of the US voters no longer possess the ability to process nuanced contextual parameters that lead to making choices based on logic, rational assessments, and non-emotional pragmatic survival-oriented goals. In his recent speech, RFK, jr alluded to the fact that Kamala(Obamala) has no political platform or policy; or at the very least–she’s not telling us about the agenda of her puppeteer-sponsors. The entirety of the sham of this non-entity’s rise to power is nothing more than a staged performance with no substance. If voting for a person–merely based upon perceived skin-color(race), and gender, and DEI politics (issued via WEF-global shapers) is what 46% of the US population considers as most important– then it must follow that we have become a nation of dummies. That may not sound nice…but it sure as heck is accurate. Kamala is more suitable as a kindergarten teacher(not for my kids however)than a Leader of a former Global super power. Maybe this is the clue: the US of A has depreciated in international rank to such degree that almost half of the voters no longer feel the US is worth saving? I still can recall hearing George Soros saying he wanted to see the America destroyed. His son is running the money now–and funding Kammie. Dirty money funds dirty politics. God bless America!

    1. Typo- “the” America–I was considering “the American Dream”–same thing. Soros hates America, and the Dream of Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of happiness for everyone. I guess Soros had an ancient wound to heal.

  4. Lots of manipulation going on. As a Trump supporter I’ve been banned from Musk’s X platform, and now I can’t log into Fox News or Fox Business.
I don’t know how prevelant this sort of thing is, but there’s no doubt that things are being seriously manipulated, and I suspect that the manipulation will only increase with democrats — including closet democrats like Musk and Fox — finding a need to counter the RFKJ alliance with Trunp.
