(POLL) 34% believe RFK Jr.’s endorsement helps Trump

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

A recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey reveals that 34% of likely voters say they believe an endorsement from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would help Donald Trump in the upcoming election. This potential endorsement has sparked discussions about its impact on the political landscape.

In contrast, 28% of voters say they think the endorsement would hurt Trump’s campaign, while 27% say it would make no difference. This division highlights the mixed opinions surrounding Kennedy’s influence on the race.

Among Republicans, 43% say they think the endorsement would help Trump, reflecting the belief that Kennedy’s support could bolster Trump’s standing. On the other hand, 31% of Democrats say they believe it would hurt Trump’s campaign, possibly viewing Kennedy as a divisive figure.

The survey also found that 44% of voters under 40 say they believe the endorsement would help Trump, indicating a potential generational divide in how Kennedy’s influence is perceived.

The survey of  1,095 likely voters was conducted on August 24-27, 2024, by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
