The following is an update from the CDC on the ongoing E. coli outbreak investigation.
Key points:
- Since October 22, 2024, 26 new illnesses have been reported, totaling 75 cases.
- The outbreak has now affected 13 states, with Michigan, New Mexico, and Washington newly impacted.
- Hospitalizations have risen, with 12 new patients hospitalized, totaling 22 cases, including one child with complications and a new adult case of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS).
- The latest reported illness onset date is October 10, 2024.
Investigation details:
- Among 42 interviewed individuals, all reported eating at McDonald’s prior to illness, with most specifying the Quarter Pounder.
- No other retail chains have been linked to the outbreak at this time.
- The source is not yet confirmed, though the investigation focuses on two ingredients: fresh slivered onions and fresh beef patties.
What you should do:
- If you experience severe symptoms of E. coli, seek medical care and inform your provider of recent food intake.
- Businesses should refrain from using any recalled onions supplied by Taylor Farms.
E. coli symptoms:
- Common symptoms include severe stomach cramps, bloody diarrhea, and vomiting, typically starting 3-4 days after exposure.
- Most recover in 5-7 days without treatment, but serious cases may lead to kidney issues requiring hospitalization.
For more details, read the update from the CDC here.

E. coli is in the soil and has been forever. It would be interesting to know how compromised the health of the “victims” are. Americans have very unhealthy and weak guts because we are overmedicated and undernourished by an industrial food and drug system that literally poisons us.
Actually I’m surprised McDonals used raw onions in any meal. I learned long ago from my mother never leave onions out in the warm summer months. She always kept them in the refrigerator vegetable bin. Like any other sautéed or fried to 160* F kills E. coli.

Re : “ Goin’ Bare ” and Bravery and Make-Up Products
Sex sells; Food sells; Drink sells;and ( Clever ) Music sells (( drum beats/rhythmic beats awaken Man’s/Woman’s lower Reptilian nature—why Drummer Boys have led men into battle; and why Rock, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, and Gangsta Rap feed our lower-brain
natures/proclivities )).
Wikipedia, re “Flowers,” by Miley Cyrus :
” ‘Flowers’ was written by Miley Cyrus, Gregory ‘Aldae’ Hein, and Michael Pollack in January 2022 in Sunset Sound Recorders studio in Hollywood, California. “
Example :
“I can love me better than you can.” //
“. . . write my name in the sand.” //
“I can buy me flowers.”
This scribbler loves that song, because of my lifetime feeling of sadness for females—of what
so many Suffer-to-LIVE within this ( hellish ) Earth Plane; e.g., now they ( you girls ) have to navigate that “Goin’ Bare” movement.
Somewhere in your PAGES, I had written : “Less is more in using makeup,” as several years of battling my wife about that, in our early years, had taught me (( my art-work efforts and NLP-training, and photography, taught me to notice very subtle influences on the brain—on how
subconscious messaging – from Art and Commercials and Music, etc. – can drive human
behavior, for Good or Bad )).
I see Mary Bruce is trying to go bare—none one day, then slightly the next; and, last week, we watched Bay-Watch / Seventy-Something / Now-Foody Pamela Anderson exhibit extreme bravery on ABC’s GMA, as she was not recognizable without make-up ete-liner. See Megyn Kelly for a lesson in less-is-more being applied.
Maybe one of you would reach out to “To-The-Contrary” Bonnie Erbe’—as she’s over-using – in extremis ! – black eye-liner. She’d look much-much younger with far-far less of it.
GO, Girls !
