(POLL) 58% say they will vote early this year

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

For the first time, a majority of US voters say they plan to cast their ballots before Election Day this year. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey reveals that 58% of likely US voters say they plan to vote early, including 37% who will take advantage of early in-person voting and 21% who say they will vote by mail.

In contrast, 39% say they will wait until Election Day, November 5, to vote. This marks a shift from October 2022, when only 44% of likely voters said they planned to vote early, while a majority, 53%, said they were waiting for Election Day. The change indicates a growing trend toward early voting in the United States.

This survey of 1,114 likely voters was conducted on September 18-19 and 22, 2024, with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
