‘Get the Jew’: A Short Documentary (Podcast)

A current wave of antisemitism in the US is renewing the relevance of events in our past. Michael Pack talks about his 23 minute film about the worst antisemitic riot in American history. It happened in Crown Heights, Brooklyn in 1991. Documentary includes interview with Al Sharpton on his role.

  1. The most consistent declarations and accusations for “anti-Semitism” are triggered when anyone criticizes Israel. Regardless of the political(economic)motivations for a nation-state created in 1947 with roots going back to a Zionist movement in the late 1800’s, the use of the term ‘anti-semitic’ serves a very useful purpose: to obfuscate facts and redirect conversations and necessary dialog regarding the foundations of the Western eco-financial paradigm. We are held prisoner by manipulative tropes much too often in this post-literate age. The word “semite” is defined by Encyclopedia Britannica as: “a member of a group of people originally of southwestern Asia that includes Jews and Arabs.” Southwestern Asia is a fairly broad designation for any tribal ancestry. Thus we may conclude that the term ‘anti-semitic’ is nothing more than a purposeful cloaking device which serves political interests (and the ruling elites who control the narrative via the corporate media outlets.) The trouble with the “J” word is that it isn’t specific enough when tracing the origins of usury and “debt” to the source. Biblical references may be interpreted as any politician sees fit. I personally know many Jewish people who are not pro-Zionist… They are well adjusted people and not by any stretch, “self-hating jews.”
