Hearing set to demand Defense Dept. transparency on secretive UFO files

The following is from House Oversight Republicans.

Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs Chairwoman Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) will hold a joint hearing titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth.” This second hearing on the topic of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) will attempt to further pull back the curtain on secret UAP research programs conducted by the US government, and undisclosed findings they have yielded. The hearing will examine the Department of Defense’s (DoD) reluctance to appropriately declassify material on UAPs, and ways to make sure the American public is better informed on this topic.

“This is our second hearing on the topic of UAPs, and the American people are tired of the obfuscation and refusal to release information by the federal government. Americans deserve to understand what the government has learned about UAP sightings, and the nature of any potential threats these phenomena pose. We can only ensure that understanding by providing consistent, systemic transparency. We look forward to hearing from expert witnesses on ways to shed more light and bring greater accountability to this issue,” said Mace and Grothman.]

  1. I don’t know who Nancy Mace is, but I have heard enough about Luis Elizondo (and Chris Mellon) to understand the use of “disinformation” while misleading the public and keeping the real truth hidden. Disclosure of the magnitude We the People have a right to know–especially as our tax dollars fund so much of this, with trillions of dollars unaccounted for–seems an unlikely outcome for this hearing. Jim Marrs, William Cooper, and many other legitimate and very credible researchers have written extensively on the topic of the secret space program. And according to Daniel Liszt(aka Dark Journalist), JFK wanted to release the government’s “x-files” and was unable to do so. Dallas interfered of course…

  2. Let’s not forget the plasma physicists. The strange balls attracted to the navy jets flying near the deck of the ocean. Saint Elmo’s Fire another ocean phenomonum.

  3. I watched/listened to the entire hearing, expecting nothing — and that’s exactly what I got. It was a complete wasted of time.

  4. In 1960, the Brookings Institution published a NASA-sponsored report titled “Proposed Studies on the Implications of Peaceful Space Activities for Human Affairs.” Similarly, an internal RAND Corporation document from 1968 reached analogous conclusions.

The Brookings report speculated that the confirmation of extraterrestrial life—particularly advanced intelligent life, as opposed to lower forms or “subhuman intelligence”—could have significant consequences. It argued that the reactions of both individuals and governments would likely vary depending on their social, cultural, and religious contexts, as well as the specific nature of the alien contact.

Spanning 190 pages, the report concluded that such a revelation could lead to profound social upheaval, potentially destabilising Earth’s civilisation. It emphasised the importance of mentally preparing humanity for such a scenario.

Although there have been some independent actions, most governments are likely to follow the lead of the United States in deciding when to make such an announcement. The U.S. government, however, will not make such a declaration until it can be certain that nearly all of humanity will receive the news calmly and rationally.

Things have been gradually moving in the right direction towards disclosure, though not as quickly as we might hope. I know quite a bit about this subject, primarily through a close friend who has had access to classified information and is free to discuss it—though he chooses not to, if he believes it would be unethical to do so.
