A vast majority—ninety-five percent (95%)—say newspapers should not endorse presidential candidates. Only about five percent (5%) think newspapers should take a stance in presidential races.
These results suggest a strong sentiment for keeping news media neutral in political endorsements, reflecting a desire for unbiased journalism and independence from political influence.
