(POLL) 53% view Trump favorably as second term approaches

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

A new Rasmussen Reports survey shows that Donald Trump is viewed more favorably now, after his election victory, as he prepares to begin his second term. The survey finds that 53% of likely US voters say they view Trump favorably, including 35% who say they hold a very favorable opinion. Meanwhile, 46% say they view Trump unfavorably, with 39% saying they hold a very unfavorable opinion.

These numbers are slightly higher than December 2016, before Trump’s first inauguration, when 51% of voters said they had a favorable opinion of him.

Among Republicans, 89% say they view Trump favorably, while 78% of Democrats say they view him unfavorably. Among independents, 51% say they have a favorable opinion, compared to 48% who say they do not.

Men are more likely to say they view Trump favorably at 59%, compared to 48% of women who say they do. Additionally, 57% of white voters and 52% of Hispanic voters say they view Trump favorably, while 42% of black voters say they share that view.

The Rasmussen survey of 1,266 likely voters was conducted on November 20-21 and 24, 2024, with a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.

  1. That is great for America.
Trump has already begun many of his Presidential tasks. All unofficial, of course because he doesn’t take office until noon, January 20. He is working on resolving America’s problems with “gentleman’s agreements, so to speak.
People are liking what they see.
