2nd batch of troops arrives at Fort Bliss to support Trump’s border crackdown

The following is from Border Report.

As part of ongoing efforts to bolster operations along the southern border with Mexico, a second group of troops arrived at Fort Bliss to support the mission.

The Pentagon recently announced the deployment of approximately 1,500 troops to El Paso and San Diego under President Donald Trump’s executive orders aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration. This adds to the roughly 2,500 National Guard and Reserve forces already stationed along the border.

Officials described the arrival as part of the “ongoing border mission” but did not disclose how many troops arrived or where they were coming from. Media were allowed on post to capture video and photos of the arrival. An earlier group had already landed at the base last week.

  1. The 82d and 10st Airborne Divisions are ‘fire brigades’ they rotate Regiments so that one Regiment is ready to go into combat within 48 hours. The 10th Mountain Division is close to the same level.
The Marines are on a rotational basis as well.
This is the best we have, which indicates the priority Trump has placed border security. They are capable of handling what the cartels attempt.
I am aware that the whole divisions are not on the border at this time.
