(POLL) Most voters support Trump’s military transgender ban

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

A new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that 54% of likely US voters approve of President Donald Trump’s executive order barring transgender individuals from serving in the military. This includes 38% who strongly approve. Meanwhile, 41% say they disapprove, with 30% strongly disapproving.

Support is even higher among current and former military members, with 67% saying they approve of the policy. Among Republicans, 81% approve, compared to 32% of Democrats and 49% of unaffiliated voters.

The poll also highlights concerns about military readiness, with 72% of voters saying they are concerned that recruitment struggles could impact the military’s effectiveness, including 38% who are very concerned. These concerns have decreased slightly from 76% in March 2024. Since Trump’s election, the US Army has reported record-breaking recruitment numbers, following years of declining enlistment under Biden.

The survey of 1,325 likely voters was conducted from January 29-30 and February 2, 2025, with a margin of sampling error of ±3 percentage points.

  1. Thank you,
I the approval numbers to be higher.
As far as the recruiting situation, it has at numbers not seen for 15 years for Dec and Jan.

  2. It seems so simple and clear, you just do not put transgender types in the military. There just is no place for sick minded people like that in a military. This complete DEI is a experiment gone wrong. We need clear thinking minds in our government, not tranies, not males who think their women, not males who dress as females. That is a sickness.

  3. Some of the troops when faced with a combat decision for actual hand to hand combat would use it to get out of it. Just as the Governor of Minnesota who was in the National guard for 24 years but never put in a combat situation suddenly was going to be deployed and he quickly retired. Both are cowardly.
