The following is from Rasmussen Reports.
A new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that 59% of likely US voters say they support an audit of the Social Security system by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), including 41% who say they strongly support it. Meanwhile, 27% say they oppose the idea, with 17% who say they strongly oppose it.
Concerns about fraud in the Social Security system remain high. The poll shows that 61% of voters say they believe an audit would uncover widespread fraud, including 36% who say it is very likely. Only 22% say they think an audit is unlikely to reveal significant fraud, while 17% say they are unsure.
Despite these concerns, most voters say they still expect to receive their Social Security benefits. Fifty-five percent (55%) say they are confident that the Social Security system will pay them all promised retirement benefits during their lifetime, including 26% who say they are very confident. However, 41% say they aren’t confident they’ll get everything Social Security has promised, including 15% who say they are not at all confident in the system. Confidence has declined slightly since June 2024, when 59% said they were at least somewhat confident that Social Security would pay them all their promised benefits.
Opinions on a DOGE-led audit vary by political affiliation. The poll shows that 74% of Republicans say they support an audit, compared to 48% of Democrats and 54% of unaffiliated voters. Meanwhile, 70% of Republicans and 56% of unaffiliated voters say they believe an audit would reveal widespread fraud, compared to 51% of Democrats.
The survey of 1,147 likely voters was conducted on March 4-6, 2025, with a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.

Just dumb that Democrats don’t support a total audit of SS rolls. When DOGE is finding payments to people over 130+ years old you know something is wrong. Whoever is receiving and cashing those checks needs to be arrested, tried and given a good stiff prison sentence. Democrats just don’t seem that smart to not support this. IT’S THEIR MONEY TOO, DUH !
