(POLL) Most voters angry over govt. waste of taxpayer money


The following is from Rasmussen Reports.


A new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that 70% of likely U.S. voters say they are angry about the amount of waste, fraud, and abuse in federal government spending, including 45% who say they are very angry. Meanwhile, 25% say they are not very angry about wasteful spending.

Seventy percent (70%) also say they believe it is likely that some federal government employees have engaged in fraud to enrich themselves with taxpayer money, including 47% who say such fraud is very likely.

Among voters who say they are very angry about wasteful government spending, 76% believe it is very likely that federal employees have benefited from fraud.

Majorities across all political affiliations express anger over wasteful spending, with 81% of Republicans, 60% of Democrats, and 70% of unaffiliated voters saying they are at least somewhat angry. Similarly, 78% of Republicans, 59% of Democrats, and 72% of unaffiliated voters say they believe it is likely that some government employees have enriched themselves through fraud.

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Trump voters say they are angry about waste, fraud, and abuse in federal government spending, compared to 50% of those who voted for Kamala Harris.

The survey of 1,188 likely US voters was conducted on February 16-18, 2025, with a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.

  1. DC cesspool idiocy of Debts must be stopped.
    Been saying this for decades and the politicians in office, both parties, give me platitudes and nonsense when I confront them.
    Enough is enough. Time for the Article V CONVENTION of STATES for a BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT.
    We’ve got to stop talking about it and make them do what all of us have to do.
