I was given Leqvio for my “high” LDL, recommended by my cardiologist. However it was administered through the cancer treatment center. The cardiologist said he didn’t know why he couldn’t inject it in his clinic, but that it had good results and his patients hadn’t reported having to pay for it. Trusting, I got it twice, but only upon the second injection did I ask the nurse to write down what it was. Then I looked it up to find this on a few sites. This is from drugs dot com: “Leqvio blocks the instructions (mRNA) that tell your body to make PCSK9 (this is a unique way of working compared to other PCSK9 blockers).
“It uses a special technology that targets just this one protein and belongs to the drug class called small interfering RNAs (siRNAs).”
I stopped it because I had already learned about the problems of mrna – no mechanism to shut down the spike protein with the covid vaccines. It miffed me that I was given no information without asking and searching. It was in the first year after approval. My understanding is that some in the industry want to make all drugs mrna despite the problems and calls of many in the medical industry to ban mrna therapy. My hope has been that someone knew more about it. Your’s is the first article that I have found to address it.
