  1. I was affected, the supplier did not notify me of the issue, Philips did not notify me, a friend did I then had to work to find out what was going on. Could not use my machine for over a year, I finally received by new machine.

    Seems foreign companies are not held to same safety standards as American companies. Sure if it was an American company the recall would have been quite different starting with mandatory contact with the customer.
