San Francisco’s crime-ridden Tenderloin District was home to infamous open-air drug markets. Wait until you see what recently happened after local residents gave the boot to their soft-on-crime prosecutor.

My oldest son lives in the Tenderloin in a very sweet affordable apartment a friend turned him on to. I visited him in October 2024 and the street scene right outside his apartment was mind-blowing. Open-air drug use was rampant. My son told me that around February/March ICE had moved in and expelling the drug dealers, mostly Hondurans he said. It was like night and day. The local homeless are still there but the scene has completely changed. The mayor, apparently, plans to make some major changes for those remaining homeless to take better care of them. I hope that’s true.

Truths I believe:
1) What will stop a bad guy with a gun? A good guy with a gun.
2) What will stop lawlessness? Enforcing the law.
If only many of our current politicians knew that.
