(POLL) 47% say they approve of ‘sanctuary’ states

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

Nearly half of voters say they approve of the idea of “sanctuary” states, which limit cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.

That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national survey. Forty-seven percent (47%) of likely voters say they approve of sanctuary policies, including 21% who say they strongly approve. Forty-three percent (43%) say they disapprove, including 31% who say they strongly disapprove.

Despite divided views on sanctuary policies, a strong majority—83%—say they believe it is important for the federal government to apprehend and deport illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. That includes 57% who say it is very important.

Among voters who say this issue is very important, 64% say they disapprove of sanctuary policies.

The survey asked voters whether they agreed or disagreed with the following statement from House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Kentucky):

“Sanctuary policies… jeopardize public safety. Sanctuary policies don’t protect Americans. They protect criminal illegal aliens.”

Fifty-eight percent (58%) say they agree with that statement, including 38% who say they strongly agree. Thirty-five percent (35%) say they disagree, including 20% who strongly disagree.

The poll reveals a sharp partisan divide. Sixty-one percent (61%) of Democrats say they approve of sanctuary policies, while 61% of Republicans say they disapprove. Unaffiliated voters are closely divided on the issue.

Hispanic voters are among the most likely to say they agree with Comer’s view that sanctuary policies jeopardize public safety.

The national survey of 1,088 likely voters was conducted June 12 and June 15–16, 2025.

  1. They must have polled a lot of democrat-voters, because actual Americans detest “sanctuary” status for illegals.

  2. The trouble begins with political “language.” The word sanctuary once meant a “holy place” or “shrine.” Then the ‘perception-shapers’ (consider the deep state apparatus funded by Rockefeller, i.e., the U.N., or Tavistock Institute in London) manipulate public opinion via a most powerful MEDIA organization in order to justify how the US Tax pool is allocated(thanks to ‘corporate sponsored’ lobbyists). In the end the “sanctuary city” scam is simply one more link in the chain to promote the nanny-state socialist program. If we review history we will see that the current efforts to enforce an artificially manipulated mass emigration program (population redirection away from one’s ‘homeland’ and ones ‘native culture’) is nothing less than the Technocratic Plutocrats (ruling elite) operation to destroy the values of family, and especially our unique heredity as individuals. The design of the initiative is both brilliant and devious. The metaphor of Babel comes to mind: possibly another period of darkness when the values of one’s native culture was lost-or redesigned in order to support a new world order,i.e., to homogenize and dilute the value of a culture’s unique personality. The myth of America as suggested by our government (Rockefeller/Rothschild) sponsored textbooks have sold us on the idea of the US as a melting pot. In reality, it is more accurate to see the myth as one more campaign to initiate the creation of the Socialist State.
