(POLL) 69% say ‘RussiaGate’ crimes must face accountability

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

A new Rasmussen Reports survey finds that 69% of likely US voters say they agree with Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard that “accountability has to take place” for crimes tied to the “RussiaGate” scandal. Forty-eight percent (48%) say they strongly agree, while 21% say they disagree and 10% are not sure.

The poll comes after renewed attention to investigations of the Obama administration’s national security team and their handling of intelligence during the Trump-Russia probe. Gabbard recently said, “It is critical for the survival of our country that people who perpetrate such crimes are held accountable.”

Fifty-four percent (54%) of voters say they think it is likely that members of former President Barack Obama’s national security team committed crimes by manipulating intelligence to promote a false Trump-Russia narrative. Thirty-seven percent (37%) say they think it is “very likely,” while 41% say they don’t think crimes were likely.

Among voters who say they have very closely followed the news about these national security investigations, 65% say they think crimes were very likely committed.

The survey also highlights sharp party divides. Eighty-three percent (83%) of Republicans, 32% of Democrats, and 47% of unaffiliated voters say they think crimes were at least somewhat likely. In addition, 86% of Republicans, 59% of Democrats, and 62% of unaffiliated voters say they at least somewhat agree with Gabbard’s statement on accountability.

Among those who voted for Trump in last year’s presidential election, 88% say they think it is likely that Obama administration officials involved in “RussiaGate” committed crimes, while 72% of Kamala Harris voters say they think it is unlikely such crimes were committed.

The poll of 1,172 likely voters was conducted July 29–31, 2025, with a margin of error of ±3 percentage points.

  2. As we all know this, in all seriousness will go no where. A lot of boisterous talk but little to nothing will become of it. Politics is filthy in Washington DC. It seems they all thrive and laugh about what they do. When you talk about a swamp these are the swines we see everyday. It’s these people who will be responsible for the destruction of USA.
ALL the talk won’t stop it.
