A staggering Ninety-six percent (96%) of respondents say they support direct federal control of Washington, D.C. to address crime.
That’s according to the latest unscientific poll at SharylAttkisson.com.
Virtually everyone who took part in the poll—Ninety-six percent (96%)—say they favor federal intervention to take charge of D.C. in order to reduce crime.
Only a sliver of respondents—just four percent (4%)—say they oppose the idea.
The overwhelming margin leaves little doubt about where the public stands: nearly unanimous support for stronger federal action to deal with Washington, D.C.’s persistent crime problems.
The results suggest that many see local leadership as having failed to get crime under control, and that it’s time for federal authorities to step in.
