(POLL) Most voters say they back Trump’s antitrust push

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that most voters support former President Donald Trump’s plan to crack down on monopolistic corporate power, especially in the tech sector.

In appointing Abigail Slater as Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, Trump said: “Big Tech has run wild for years, stifling competition in our most innovative sector.” Seventy-nine percent (79%) of voters say they agree with that statement, including 44% who say they strongly agree. Just 14% say they disagree.

Fifty-four percent (54%) of likely US voters say they support Trump’s antitrust agenda, including 31% who say they strongly support it. Twenty-nine percent (29%) say they are opposed, with 14% who say they strongly oppose. Another 17% say they are not sure.

Trump recently outlined a series of proposals as part of his antitrust platform, including banning collusion among tech firms to blacklist users, blocking mergers that concentrate power, and breaking up companies that act as both seller and competitor on their platforms.

Support for the proposals cuts across political lines. Seventy-six percent (76%) of Republicans say they support the plan, along with 50% of unaffiliated voters and 36% of Democrats.

The survey of 1,124 likely US voters was conducted November 7-9, 2025. The margin of error is ±3 percentage points.
