If we cannot rely on public airwaves, cable outlets or other legacy media for truthful, honest reporting we are on the way to a very un-democratic and authoritarian government. The level of toxicity disseminated, driven by the wildest imaginations and predictions, supported by unnamed and anonymous sources is unlike anything we have seen since the McCarthy era of the fifties. But this time instead of attacking the entertainment and literary segments, it is pitting one half of all citizens against the other.
It is not red vs blue. It is not minorities vs white.
It is not even the ‘billionaires’ vs the not so well to do.
It is the ruling class, who do the bidding of their ‘investors.’
As the late great George Carlin used to say, “it’s a club- and you’re not in it!”
Muslim threat is the top issue.
