Zelensky: top peace negotiator resigns amid corruption probe

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says his top aide and chief peace negotiator with the US and Russia, Andrii Yermak, has resigned amid a corruption investigation.

According to the Associated Press, anti-corruption investigators searched Yermak’s residence. Two national agencies confirmed the raids targeted Yermak. However, his spokesman says he has not been named as a suspect and was not served a notice of suspicion.

The spokesman also claimed Yermak has not been informed of what the searches pertained to.
