The following is from Epoch News.
New FBI data show the US experienced a historic reduction in violent crime in 2025, alongside a sharp increase in federal arrests, according to reporting by The Epoch Times.
The FBI reported the nationwide murder rate fell by 20%, the largest single-year decline ever recorded. At the same time, federal arrests increased by 100%, reflecting what FBI officials described as a major shift in agency priorities.
FBI Director Kash Patel said the results followed a “full-scale reset” of the bureau, including operational, cultural, and fiscal changes aimed at refocusing agents on crime-fighting and threat detection.
According to the FBI, four of the agency’s top 10 most-wanted fugitives were captured during the year, matching the total number apprehended over the prior four years combined. Investigators also disrupted approximately 1,800 gangs and criminal organizations, a 210% increase from the previous year.
Federal agents seized more than 2,000 kilograms of fentanyl—roughly 4,400 pounds—an amount the FBI said was enough to kill more than one-third of the US population.
The bureau also reported progress in counterterrorism and child protection efforts, including the recovery of more than 6,000 missing children and the arrest of about 1,700 child predators. Officials said hundreds of individuals were stopped from carrying out terrorist attacks.
Patel said the changes produced what he described as the most productive year in modern FBI history, measured by arrests, disruptions, victim recoveries, and taxpayer savings.

ROBERT HANSSEN was an FBI Agent. After HANSSEN’S arrest one of his co workers speculated that Bob just wanted to touch the hot stove, describing Bob’s involvement with Russian agents and double agents. Well….he touched it and went to prison for Life. Such is the situation in Minneapolis. Two now dead protesters wanted to “touch the hot stove.” Miss Good was accelerating her vehicle toward a policeman when she was stopped. Mr. Pretti was engaged in hand to hand combat, in the public street, with policemen when he was stopped. I don’t care if you are a 5 Star General. If you decide to commit crimes and fight with the police in the street, you are playing a deadly game known as the use of force continuum. Police operations are dangerous. Police Officers have a duty to stop crime, and in these two present cases they did exactly that.
