President Donald Trump’s monthly job approval rating dipped slightly in December, according to new tracking data from Rasmussen Reports.
Trump earned a 45% job approval rating for the month of December, down one point from November. Fifty-three percent of voters disapproved of his job performance, unchanged from the previous month. His full-month Presidential Approval Index score stood at minus 14, down one point from November.
During Trump’s first term, his monthly approval ranged from a high of 51% in February 2017 to a low of 42% in August 2017. In December 2020, the final full month of his first term, Trump posted a monthly approval rating of 47%.
By comparison, former President Joe Biden reached a high approval rating of 52% in May 2021, before dropping sharply following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan later that year. Biden’s approval remained in the low 40s through much of 2022 and peaked again at 48% in 2023. His final approval rating in December 2024 was 45%.
In December, 29% of voters strongly approved of Trump’s job performance, down one point from November, while 43% strongly disapproved. Among Republicans, 56% strongly approved of Trump’s performance, down two points from the previous month. Among Democrats, 71% strongly disapproved, down three points. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 21% strongly approved and 43% strongly disapproved.
The monthly approval figures are based on approximately 8,000 interviews with likely voters conducted throughout the month. The margin of sampling error is less than plus or minus 1 percentage point.

As we all know polls have zero value. President Trump has already accomplished more than any president in modern times. He continues to make things happen, for the benefit of all American citizens, even though the democrats are against everything he does. Unfortunately , the MSM is a partner of the Dems and is also against anything president Trump does.
It is imperative, for the survival of America, that the MSM (legacy media) ONLY report truth. That is the only way the Dems will refrain from all the vicious attacks that only hurt America. The MSM MUST ONLY protect America not a specific party. The MSM will completely destroy America unless they report honestly.
Dear Mr. President: I hope I will not be vilified if I offer you a plan to save the Republican Party from itself, as I promote the use of the English language. There is a particularly un-necessary and unpleasant word you and others in your administration seem to have fallen for. You have chosen this path – you alone, so you must repair the damage. The notion to let Trump be Trump is a fool’s errand. You must change now. We are at a point in the USA where Public Service is decreasing substantially. Many people steer their children away from Public Service because the current public servants are not good people. Using foul ugly language instead of using the English language has consequences you apparently don’t now about. Good families don’t want to subject the tender ears of their children to the profane rants you and others frequently use, and they certainly won’t respond with financial support if your profanity continues. Speak English and the Lord will listen.
