(POLL) 55% suspect foreigners are registered to vote in US elections

The following is from Rasmussen Reports.

A majority of likely US voters say they believe non-citizens are illegally registered to vote in the state where they live, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey conducted as Congress considers legislation aimed at election integrity.

Fifty-five percent (55%) say they think it is at least somewhat likely that non-citizens are registered to vote in their state, including 32% who say it is “very likely.” Thirty-four percent (34%) say they do not think it is likely, including 16% who say it is “not at all likely.” Eleven percent (11%) say they are not sure. The findings are nearly unchanged from August 2025.

The House of Representatives recently passed the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, legislation strongly backed by President Donald Trump. Eighty-six percent (86%) of voters say they believe only US citizens should be allowed to vote in US elections.

The survey also asked about comments made by Elon Musk in February 2024 suggesting that Democrats were encouraging illegal immigration to create a “permanent majority.” Fifty-three percent (53%) of voters say they agree with that claim, including 38% who strongly agree. Forty-two percent (42%) say they disagree, including 34% who strongly disagree.

Views vary sharply by political affiliation. Seventy-three percent (73%) of Republicans say they think it is likely that non-citizens are registered to vote in their state, compared to 42% of Democrats and 51% of voters not affiliated with either major party. Large majorities across party lines say they believe only US citizens should be allowed to vote in US elections.

The survey of 1,117 likely US voters was conducted January 28–29 and February 1, 2026. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

  1. We know illegal aliens are voting. In just the last couple of months, two illegal aliens, one of whom held an elected office and the other who had been hired as Superintendent of Schools in Des Moines, both have voted in local, state, and federal elections.

  2. Exactly and that will become the undoing of USA. Just give it time.
With brain dead politicians we elect and send to DC who haven’t a clue about the slow destruction of our democracy we are doomed.
