Most Americans say the war in Iran is going badly for the United States, according to a new CBS News/YouGov poll.
Fifty-seven percent (57%) say they believe the war is going somewhat badly or very badly for the US.
Sixty-seven percent (67%) say they do not think Americans should be willing to pay more for gas during the conflict.
Sixty-three percent (63%) say they believe the war in Iran will make the US economy weaker in the short term.
The survey was conducted with a nationally representative sample of 3,335 US adults interviewed March 17–20, 2026. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.1 percentage points.

I agree with the first comment. CBS is a progressive propaganda outlet which many never watch or read content from. I wonder what the political makeup of those polled was. Obviously it has great bearing on the polls outcome. These results are at best highly questionable.
These results make me doubt the honesty of this poll …… Iran’s theocratic dictatorship is only being defended by leftists, like the democrat party.
