Rand Paul releases timeline of Fauci’s ties to US intelligence agencies

The following is from Just the News.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) has released a timeline documenting what he describes as decades of contacts between former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci and the US intelligence community.

The timeline, released by the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, traces communications between Fauci and intelligence agencies dating back to 2003.

According to the timeline, Fauci reviewed and contributed to intelligence-related assessments involving SARS, biotechnology, bioweapons, and national security threats years before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The report also focuses on Fauci’s role during the early months of the pandemic, including discussions about whether SARS-CoV-2 may have originated in a laboratory.

Paul’s timeline notes that in January 2020, scientists raised concerns to Fauci about features of the virus that appeared engineered. Fauci later participated in discussions involving scientific and intelligence officials regarding the virus’s origins.

The timeline highlights the publication of the 2020 “Proximal Origin” paper, which concluded that SARS-CoV-2 was “not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus.”

According to the report, Fauci also received classified briefings and participated in intelligence-related meetings during the Biden administration’s 2021 review of Covid-19 origins.

Paul says the timeline raises questions about Fauci’s interactions with intelligence agencies before and during the pandemic.
