The following is from Rasmussen Reports.
The Democratic Party’s lead over Republicans in the race for control of the House of Representatives has narrowed since May, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey.
If the election for Congress were held today, 46% of likely US voters say they would vote for the Democratic candidate, while 42% say they would vote for the Republican candidate. Five percent (5%) say they would vote for another candidate, and 7% are not sure.
Democrats’ advantage has decreased by two percentage points since May, when they led Republicans 47% to 41%. Before the November 2024 election, Republicans held a three-point advantage and went on to win a narrow House majority.
Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 37% say they would vote for Democrats, while 34% say they would vote for Republicans. Thirteen percent (13%) say they would support a third-party candidate, and 16% are undecided.
The survey of 2,224 likely US voters was conducted June 24-25 and June 28-July 1, 2026. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
