Keith Ellison: A Question of #MeToo Standards

Watch our exclusive interview with a woman who accused former Congressman Keith Ellison of sexual misconduct.

Did a case of alleged abuse receive little media attention because it involves a Democrat minority woman accusing a powerful Democrat? Or is Ellison being falsely accused?

Note: since this report, Ellison was elected Attorney General of Minnesota.

The "Media Literacy" Deception

There are massive, organized efforts to begin "media literacy" and "anti-fake news" programs in colleges and elementary schools. Self-appointed third parties are stepping in to "curate" our news for us (like it or not). Nonprofits are developing curricula and agendas. There are efforts at the state level and internationally to pass laws requiring all of this.

But what if some of the efforts are funded and pushed by interests who are actually trying to censor and control the news, and block our access to certain facts and views?

Some watchdogs on left and right say it's happening and that it's an extremely dangerous trend.

I'll investigate in this week's cover story Sunday on Full Measure.

We'll hear from a former California teacher about her battle with "Goliath": The Teachers' Unions. Her case went all the way to the Supreme Court.

And Scott Thuman takes us on a trip to a South American waterfall wonderland you may never have seen nor heard about. But after you see our story you won’t forget it!

Once again, we never waste your time rehashing old news you've already heard all week. For where to watch on TV, on demand and online, check out the information below!

Issa's Exit Interview

Above image: A swamp

An incredible and frank exit interview with a Republican member of Congress who reveals swampy behind the scenes details about working in Washington DC.

Hint: He says it's as bad as you think. And it's both parties.

Trump picks up support for 2020 race: Unscientific poll

In the latest in our series of unscientific polls at SharylAttkisson.com (just for fun), we asked people if they voted for President Trump in 2016 and did they plan to do so in 2020.

The several thousand respondents were primarily Trump supporters. But what's interesting is what we find when we examine how these Trump supporters answered.

Trump overwhelmingly retained his support among those who voted for him in 2016. Eighty-seven percent said they voted for hm and will vote for him again.

In addition, Trump picked up 10% of respondents who said they did not vote for Trump in 2016, but intend to do so in 2020.

That number outweighs the few who said they voted for Trump in 2016 but will not vote for him next time.

Results:

Re: President Trump
87% Voted for, would again
<1% Voted for, would not again
10% Did not vote for, but will next time
2% Did not vote for, won't next time
<1% I don't know

The Statin Wars

This Full Measure investigation takes a look at who is pulling strings behind the scenes when it comes to making recommendations about our health.

It was once discovered that most of the government advisers who recommended heavy use of cholesterol-lowering statins were financially connected to statin makers-- only they hadn't disclosed the links.

The government and medical industry say they are cracking down on such conflicts of interest.

Find out why Harvard's Dr. John Abramson is skeptical.

Watch the investigation below. Original reporting you won't see anywhere else!

Analysis: Maybe the truth, the whole truth--and a whole lot more from Michael Cohen

The following is an excerpt from an article in The Hill.

Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, completed three full days of testimony before Congress this week, two of those days behind closed doors. Don’t worry if you missed the public appearance. Here are some notable moments from his testimony:

Biggest headline if you’re anti-Trump

Trump is a tax cheat, womanizer, liar and racist. He’s also “filthy” with Russia contacts.

Biggest headline if you’re pro-Trump

Cohen actually may have assisted Trump in the Russia investigation when he said he knew of no evidence of Russia collusion. And he further discredited the Democratic-funded anti-Trump “dossier.”

Biggest elephant in the room

At the start of the hearing, Cohen — an admitted perjurer and liar who pleaded guilty to a variety of charges — took an oath to tell the truth.

Smallest surprise

Cohen coordinated his appearance and testimony with Reps. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.). Coordination with political leaders is routine among both Democrats and Republicans when they call witnesses and schedule hearings.

Biggest surprise

Cohen attorney Lanny Davis, a Hillary Clinton confidante, is working for Cohen without getting paid.

Blue Water Vets

Above image: U.S. soldiers in Vietnam. Vets are compensated for Agent Orange-- but not the sailors who served off the coast.

"Blue Water Vets" are Vietnam vets who served on ships in the waters off Vietnam. Like the ground troops, many were exposed to the dangerous defoliant Agent Orange. The chemical was carried onto the ships by planes that landed there. It drained into the ocean water that they used to make drinking water and to bathe in.

Originally, these vets were compensated for their Agent Orange illnesses. But believe it or not, the Veterans Administration halted that compensation for the Blue Water vets in 2002.

Ever since, the sailors have been fighting to get it back.

This week on Full Measure, we investigate the Blue Water vets' denied compensation.

Brass Parachutes

We'll also have findings of a report from the watchdog Project on Government Oversight. It looked into the trend of military officials making decisions that benefit certain defense contractors, then go on to work for those very same companies making lots of money.

Critics say it raises questions about whose interests these officials are serving— those of the military and taxpaying Americans? Or their own-- so they can get a high-paying job after the military?

Government Ruins (Nearly) Everything

We'll also speak to author Laura Carno who says the federal government does a few things well, but ruins (nearly) everything else. She'll make the case, and ask why we give the feds so much trust, responsibility, power and taxpayer money.

Watch live, online or on demand! See below for all the ways to do that!
