Who is the "Whistleblower" that's trying to take down Trump?

RealClearInvestigations has researched and named the man believed to be the probable whistleblower based on sources and description.

If the reporting is correct, it implies the "whistleblower" could have been worried Trump was getting close to uncovering Democrat links to Ukraine's interference in US elections in 2016.

RealClearInvestigations is disclosing the name because of the public’s interest in learning details of an effort to remove a sitting president from office. Further, the official's status as a “whistleblower” is complicated by his being a hearsay reporter of accusations against the president, one who has “some indicia of an arguable political bias … in favor of a rival political candidate" -- as the Intelligence Community Inspector General phrased it circumspectly in originally fielding his complaint.

RealClearInvestigations, Oct. 30, 2019

The following is an excerpt from RealClearInvestigations. The link to the full article follows.

More than two months after the official filed his complaint, pretty much all that’s known publicly about him is that he is a CIA analyst who at one point was detailed to the White House and is now back working at the CIA.

But the name of a government official fitting that description — Eric Ciaramella — has been raised privately in impeachment depositions, according to officials with direct knowledge of the proceedings, as well as in at least one open hearing held by a House committee not involved in the impeachment inquiry. Fearing their anonymous  witness could be exposed, Democrats this week blocked Republicans from asking more questions about him and intend to redact his name from all deposition transcripts...

Federal documents reveal that the 33-year-old Ciaramella, a registered Democrat held over from the Obama White House, previously worked with former Vice President Joe Biden and former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump who helped initiate the Russia “collusion” investigation of the Trump campaign during the 2016 election.

Further, Ciaramella (pronounced char-a-MEL-ah) left his National Security Council posting in the White House’s West Wing in mid-2017 amid concerns about negative leaks to the media. He has since returned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

“He was accused of working against Trump and leaking against Trump,” said a former NSC official, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.

Also, Ciaramella huddled for “guidance” with the staff of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, including former colleagues also held over from the Obama era whom Schiff’s office had recently recruited from the NSC. (Schiff is the lead prosecutor in the impeachment inquiry.)

And Ciaramella worked with a Democratic National Committee operative who dug up dirt on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, inviting her into the White House for meetings, former White House colleagues said. The operative, Alexandra Chalupa, a Ukrainian-American who supported Hillary Clinton, led an effort to link the Republican campaign to the Russian government. “He knows her. He had her in the White House,” said one former co-worker, who requested anonymity to discuss the sensitive matter.

Whooping cough outbreak among vaccinated in California: LA Times

The following is a news analysis.

Many U.S. government and health officials have avoided addressing rising incidences of infectious disease outbreaks among vaccinated children. These officials choose instead to stay on the vaccine industry narrative of heaping blame on those who are partly vaccinated or unvaccinated.

Click here for links to CDC resources, and Attkisson vaccine stories

By failing to tackle the issue at hand-- vaccines that are not providing the expected immunity-- some health experts say the problem only stands to grow worse.

One of the most recent cases from this past March comes from Los Angeles, California. A private high school there reports nearly 50 students came down with whooping cough (pertussis), even though they were all vaccinated.

According to the Los Angeles Times, none of the students at the school with vaccine exemptions contracted the disease even though they had not received a whooping cough/pertussis shot.

Watch the investigation into allegations of vaccine-autism govt. coverup

Furthermore, Los Angeles County officials have said that 90 people recently were diagnosed with whooping cough in the county and all of them had been immunized against it.

Experts say part of the problem with whooping cough vaccine currently in use is that a newer form of the vaccine that's considered safer... doesn't last as long as the one that was used prior to 1997 (that reportedly had more serious side effects.)

One study found that even a booster doesn't help much. It provided immunity for only about a year.

This raises the question of risk-benefit ratio: how much benefit a child receives versus the risk of side effects (which all vaccines and medicines have). If the vaccine exposes children to some side serious side effects, even if relatively rare, is it worth it when immunity only lasts four years or less?

Additionally, there are questions of disclosure and informed consent. When doctors administer the pertussis vaccine (typically part of the childhood DTaP series), are they disclosing to parents that the whooping cough protection will only last a relatively short time? When boosters are given to middle school students, are parents told it's probably only effective for about a year, according to a Kaiser study?

Please note that CDC recommends that due to risk of side effects, children with certain risk factors should only get DT vaccine, without the pertussis component, instead of DTaP. Issues that could be reason to opt out of pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine include: if a child...

  • ...had severe pain or swelling after any vaccine containing tetanus or diphtheria.
  • ...has seizures or another nervous system problem.
  • ...ever had a condition called Guillian-Barré Syndrome.

Significantly, many parents have said their child's pediatrician did not ask about risk factors or discuss limited immunity before administering DTaP vaccines.

Waning or ineffective immunity or combined with the possibility of vaccine side effects provide good reason for everyone to advocate for safer, better vaccines.

Pitting those who want improved vaccine safety against those who smear them as "anti-science" or "tinfoil hat conspirators" only allows the power brokers behind the scenes to disappear among the infighting, and continue making money without improving the product through technologically possible advances.

President Trump mentions Jussie Smollett case in Chicago

Actor Jussie Smollett

During a Chicago speech to the nation's police chiefs, President Trump raised the false accusations made by actor Jussie Smollett.

Smollett, who is black, falsely claimed that white Trump supporters wearing "Make America Great Again" hats attacked him in the middle of the night and hung a noose around his neck.

Police later determined that two black acquaintances of Smollett staged the 'attack.'

Who are the happiest people on Earth? Consistently, surveys show it's people in Denmark. And that may be thanks to a word you've never even heard before. We explore the Danish lifestyle known worldwide as hygge.

This little green path is in a neighborhood outside Copenhagen, Denmark and anthropologist Jeppe Linnett is about to give us on a hygge tour.

Jeppe Linnet: Welcome to my own little private hygge paradise here.

Hygge— that’s spelled H-y-g-g-e— is a uniquely Danish concept, which Linnet has studied.

Sharyl: What would you say in a sentence or two is a definition of hygge?

Linnet: Hygge is a kind of atmosphere where you feel that you can you can be yourself. You're allowed to be yourself and you feel that others are genuine and authentic and friendly.

That may be different things to different people.

Linnet: Just chilling and being lazy.

Sharyl: Read a book maybe?

Linnet: Exactly. Or listening to music or whatever you want to do.

It could be a cozy, functional space indoors with candles or soft light.

It also means spending time with people you genuinely enjoy.

Sharyl: The word is hyggly?

Linnet: Hyggly. Yeah. That's the adjective for the experience.

How to watch Full Measure

Sharyl: A hygge-like experience.

Linnet: This was hygge like.

The pursuit of “hygge” has become popular well past the borders of this small Northern European nation.

Shaun Russell: Boreal forest; spruce, pine and fir.

Shaun Russell says he’s found a way to bottle it.

Russell: The smell of baking bread, smoky tea.

Russell moved to Denmark from Britain.

Sharyl: What brought you here?

Russell: The love of a blonde Danish girl.

Sharyl talks "hygge" in Denmark with a man who has bottled it

They’ve been married 20 years now. He’s built his life and business around an expanding appreciation for hygge. Candles and fragrances help people capture that feeling of happiness or contentment wherever they may be.

Sharyl: How do you put a smell to hygge?

Russell: That's interesting cause a lot of Danes can always tell you what hygge is if you ask them on the streets but actually, if you ask them what it smells like, they come unstuck. So when we created a scent for hygge, you have to be a little bit more, let's say creative.

Russell: But I think Western countries such as the United Kingdom and I, I believe the US too, have a tendency to defer happiness to a later date or a more significant event such as a new job, bigger car, bigger house. I think what the Scandinavians are very good at is just focusing in on the moment.

That’s what we’re doing back in the Danish countryside at Linnet’s cottage.

Linnet: There is a good degree of being yourself here, which is very important in a Scandinavian mindset to have a place where you can just be you.

Sharyl: If someone in the United States wanted to experience the feeling or the experience of hygge, what would you tell them to do?

Linnet: You can't force it and it won't come because you light a candle or put on a blanket. Take some good, slow quality time with people that they really feel good around, not the ones that they think they should feel good around, but people that, that, that really give them a pleasant vibe and they feel they can be themselves and then, you know, be together in a way that is not too demanding.

Sharyl: Well, I hope you found this conversation hyggely.

Linnet: I definitely did. Very much. Very friendly. Yeah

Sharyl: Thank you.

Linnet: You're welcome.

Meantime, the Dutch also have a lifestyle concept that’s catching on. Niksen.. which is described as "the art of doing nothing, aimlessly and without the objective of being productive.”

Some Democrats worry Trump impeachment effort will cause them to lose the House in 2020

The following is an excerpt from an article in the liberal publication The Atlantic.

When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave her blessing to an impeachment inquiry three weeks ago, she also laid down a marker: The investigation wouldn’t center on any of the issues that Democrats have obsessed over for the last three years. Not Russian interference, or emoluments, or security clearances, or family separation. Impeachment would be about Ukraine—and only about Ukraine...

Some moderate lawmakers and rank-and-file Democrats—many of whom were reticent to support impeachment to begin with—are intent on keeping the focus of the inquiry as narrow as possible, as it is now under Pelosi’s direction. They’re worried that straying from Trump’s Ukraine-related offenses could create the appearance of a partisan fishing expedition...

The current plan is for Democrats, led by the House Intelligence Committee, to continue gathering information about Trump’s request of Ukraine through witness testimony and subpoenaed documents; today, Democrats plan to question the former ambassador to Ukraine, Bill Taylor. Then, after reviewing the evidence, the Judiciary Committee will decide if there are grounds for impeachment. If so, committee members will write the articles—a list of reasons why they think the president should be removed from office—and present them to the full House for a vote. Former President Andrew Johnson, for example, faced a total of 11 articles, spanning from his violation of the Tenure of Office Act to bringing “contempt, ridicule and disgrace” to the presidency. By contrast, former President Bill Clinton faced two: for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. If the House votes to approve any of the individual articles, Trump will be formally impeached, and his case will go to the Senate for trial...

Mitt Romney's Twitter alter ego

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah)

"Pierre Delecto" strikes back at Romney critics

If there was ever any doubt that Republican Senator Mitt Romney (at least secretly) identifies as vehemently anti-Trump, the Twitter account under the name "Pierre Delecto" may have put that to rest.

Romney recently admitted he was using the "Delecto" pseudonym on social media. Romney told reporters it was "a way to have a private account to see what's going on." (Of course, one doesn't need a private account to "see what's going on." Any Twitter user with an account under their real name can privately read whatever they wish without detection.)

Romney was the Republican nominee for president in 2012, beaten out by Democrat Barack Obama. Romney spoke out against Trump in 2016. Trump later endorsed Romney for senate in Utah.

Though Romney didn't publish very frequently on Twitter under his fake name, the content has garnered him some fans among both liberals and anti-Trump Republicans. Romney used "Pierre Delecto" to express pro-Romney and/or anti-Trump sentiments.

Romney's tweets are now protected and cannot be seen by ordinary users on Twitter. But a Slate reporter says she captured some highlights, which are excerpted below.

On May 31, Romney's "Delecto" Twitter account tweeted a conservative writer who had called Romney's treatment of Trump "non-confrontation verging on spinelessness." Delecto told the reporter she "needed to take a breath," and "Maybe you can then acknowledge the people who agree with you in large measure even if not in every measure."

On June 8, Romney's "Delecto" Twitter account replied to a CNN report stating that Romney had an "utter lack of a moral compass." Delecto replied: "Only Republican to hit Trump on [Mueller] report, only one to hit Trump on character time and again...you think he's the one without moral compass?"

On October 7, a news report noted that Romney called Trump an "unreliable ally." Fox News' Brit Hume replied, "Some might say Romney is too." "Delecto" weighed in, tweeting that Romney is "loyal to principle," while Trump's "loyalty [is] to party or person, right Brit?"

"Everyone is a Russian Asset"

2016 presidential nominee, Democrat Hillary Clinton

"Hillary Clinton is nuts. She’s also not far from the Democratic Party mainstream, which has been pushing the same line for years."

Mike Taibbi, reporter, Rolling Stone

Former presidential nominee for Democrats, Hillary Clinton, ignited a lot of discussion when she recently stated that other prominent liberals are "Russian assets."

Who does Clinton say has gone over to the red side?

Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard, a Democrat (who was identified by implication only); and Jill Stein (who ran as an independent candidate in 2016).

Both Gabbard and Stein quickly slammed Clinton's "conspiracy theory."

Clinton also continued pushing the idea that President Trump is a Russian, asset, too.

“[Jill Stein’s] also a Russian asset… Yeah, she’s a Russian asset — I mean, totally. They know they can’t win without a third-party candidate....I don’t know what Putin has on [Trump], whether it’s both personal and financial … I assume it is.”

Hillary Clinton, 2016 (D) presidential nominee

Clinton's accusations prompted an article by Mike Taibbi in Rolling Stone who writes, "Hillary Clinton is nuts. She’s also not far from the Democratic Party mainstream, which has been pushing the same line for years."

The following is an excerpt of the article in Rolling Stone

Less than a week before Clinton’s outburst, the New York Times — once a symbol of stodgy, hyper-cautious reporting — ran a feature called, “What, Exactly, is Tulsi Gabbard Up To?” The piece speculated about the “suspicious activity” surrounding Gabbard’s campaign, using quotes from the neoconservative think-tank, the Alliance For Securing Democracy, to speculate about Gabbard’s Russian support.

READ HERE: The latest Gen. Flynn defense filing

Former Trump National Security Adviser, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn

The latest court filing in the case of Gen. Michael Flynn has to do with information the government wishes to keep redacted, and alleged delays caused through the process of determining what should or should not be made public.

Flynn, President Trump's former national security adviser, has accused the Department of Justice of stalling. He is awaiting sentencing for lying about his discussions with a Russian ambassador. There is controversy surrounding his guilty plea. Among other issues, some FBI agents reportedly stated privately that they did not believe Flynn had lied. the discussions with the Russian ambassador themselves were not against the law.

Read today's filing by clicking the link below. Note: emails between the government and Flynn attorney Sidney Powell are at the end of the document.
