Cigars, Casinos and Tanning Beds: Campaign Expenses?


Was the Moreland Commission on Public Corruption doing its job too well? According to an article by City & State, the commission questioned hundreds of thousand of dollars in expenses by elected officials in New York State. These reportedly included money spent on cigars, tanning beds, salons and casinos. Then, before the commission could complete even a year’s work, Gov. Andrew Cuomo disbanded it.
