A small group of liberal activists that includes an executive from Hillary Clinton support group Media Matters has gotten caught in a social media campaign to target its political enemies. That’s according to an article in the Daily Caller.
There’s nothing illegal about using Twitter and other tools in an organized effort to controversialize or discredit political enemies, or in using multiple Twitter accounts under different names. But the small, organized effort is apparently designed to give the false appearance that it’s actually a large grassroots campaign.

“The activists even use technology to ‘machine-tweet’ anti-Rush comments in robotic fashion to ensure maximum Twitter exposure for their insular group’s efforts.”
