“The Link” between animal cruelty and serial killers

From the Boston Strangler to Jeffrey Dahmer, there’s a known link between serial killers and animal cruelty…so why hasn’t the FBI been tracking animal abuse crimes in its national database? Sunday on Full Measure, we speak to a psychologist and animal rights defender who changed the way the feds think about “The Link,” and how she convinced them it was worth tracking.

Other reasons to watch this week’s Full Measure:

Lisa Fletcher visits Cleveland to see the city is ready for the Republican National Convention. Tens of thousands of protesters are expected, many of them have become violent in the past…are police well prepared? She gets disturbing answers from the police union.

Also Scott Thuman talks to a journalist reporting in Syria. She tells about the confusing and dangerous job of reporting in the civil war-torn nation–a place where it’s hard to know day-to-day who’s the enemy and who are friends.

Last week, we reported on a federal study, iCOMPARE, being conducted on patients at more than 60 hospitals — but they aren’t being told they’re enrolled in the experiment. The goal is quite literally to see if more patients die when they’re treated by young doctors working over the limits, up to 28 hours straight.

Stories you won’t see anywhere else.
