Three weeks before the election, many Americans are expressing distaste for where the campaigns and news media have taken us. Yet they are paying rapt attention. With Donald Trump’s lewd remarks about women being highlighted, there are rumors of more tapes yet-to-come in carefully-timed releases.

There are also indications that the Trump campaign intends to try to make an issue of Bill Clinton’s accusers and Hillary’s long ago alleged role in controversializing and discrediting the women (which she denies). In recent days, one accuser, Juanita Broaddrick gave a tearful interview recounting her allegations.

Here’s a blast-from-the-past cheat sheet of some of the most-discussed allegations by Bill Clinton’s accusers, which Clinton has denied:

Paula Jones alleges in 1994 that Clinton propositioned her and exposed himself three years earlier as governor of Arkansas. She sues for sexual harassment. Clinton eventually pays her an $850,000 settlement, but admits no guilt.
Gennifer Flowers claims in 1992 she had a 12-year-long affair with Clinton. Clinton denies it at the time. But Flowers has audio recordings. Under oath in 1998, Clinton acknowledges he had sexual relations with her.
Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern, has an affair with President Clinton in 1995 and 1996. Under oath, he falsely denies having sex with her. His allies called her a “stalker” and a “liar.” Clinton’s false testimony about the relationship plays a role in his impeachment in 1998 (he was impeached in the House but acquitted in the Senate), a civil contempt charge, and the loss of his law license.
Dolly Kyle Browning claims in a sworn statement that she had a sporadic 22-year-long sexual relationship with Clinton. She says he described himself as a “sex addict.” Clinton denies having an affair with her.
Elizabeth Ward Gracen, Miss America 1982, claims a one-night stand with Clinton when he was Arkansas governor.
Juanita Broaddrick, alleges in 1999 that Clinton raped her 21 years earlier. Clinton denies it and is never charged. This weekend she gave a tearful interview about the alleged incident.
Kathleen Willey, longtime Democrat party worker, testified in the Paula Jones case that in 1993 when she was a White House volunteer aide, Clinton took her in a room off the Oval Office and began consoling her over her husband’s sudden death that day, then allegedly began groping her. Clinton denied it and wasn’t charged. Willey also claims while jogging she was approached and threatened by a menacing stranger prior to giving her court testimony.
Myra Belle “Sally” Miller, Miss Arkansas 1958, claimed in 1992 that she had an affair with Clinton in 1983 and was threatened by a Democratic official not to go public. “They knew that I went jogging by myself and he couldn’t guarantee what would happen to my pretty little legs,” she alleged the official told her.
The deputy chair of Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign, Betsey Wright, called the allegations against Bill “bimbo eruptions.” The Clinton camp allegedly used a “Nuts and Sluts” strategy to discredit the women in the media, portraying them as crazy or of questionable moral character. Clinton surrogate James Carville coined his slur about Gennifer Flowers: “If you drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you’ll find.” Later, in her sexual harassment lawsuit against Bill, Flowers alleges Hillary went so far as to devise a “war room” during the 1992 campaign. It was, Flowers claims, dedicated to smearing, defaming and harming her and other Clinton enemies, which the Clintons have strongly denied.
Hillary Clinton has said that “Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported” but that her husband’s accusers aren’t telling the truth.k

The electorate seem too busy to be bothered, or as you term Astroturf effect. The Romans used the term, “Panem et Circenses.” Subterfuge by any other name…
Surely, to falsely accuse someone of a crime must be punishable by some law. Was Broaddrick ever sued? Why is she free? Is it that everyone beleives that she is telling the truth, but most prefer to say she is not?
I don’t want to hear anyone complaining about politicians ever again. Congressmen must be the most moral human group in America if most citizens are willing to believe anything they say.
You have exactly what you deserve, nothing more, nothing less. If you don’t like it, then change it by first changing yourselves.
