  1. Say some judge somewhere noticed that some distant relative a long time ago was sentenced to 20 years in prison but died incarcerated after serving only 3 of those years. Should you, as a distant descendent, be responsible to finish that term and be arrested and imprisoned?

  2. Beginning with the massive loss of life during the Civil War itself, we’ve been making reparations for a long time: affirmative action, set-asides, poverty programs, low-income housing, food stamps, and all the rest. Although these programs do not exclusively benefit the descendants of slaves, many were primarily aimed at blacks, and billions have been spent on them.

On top of that, probably 80% or more of today’s white Americans did not have any ancestors here until after the Civil War and the end of slavery,

  3. I’m a descendent of immigrants who not only came after the Civil War, but were treated not much better than blacks were. Through all of the programs Stephen Triesch noted in his comments, I have been paying reparations. This will be the final straw that sends the country into the second civil war, only this time, with two powerful enemies laying in wait for such an event in America, there will be saving of the union.

  4. There was no identifiable coherent argument to support reparations, only historically inaccurate claims and the muddled thinking of someone who sees everything through an emotionally charged lens of race and victim hood.

This issue doesn’t exist in a vacuum but within the context of a culture war between mutually exclusive and diametrically opposed ideologies. All racial, sexual identity and climate change issues in America have been absorbed into the ideology of the authoritarian woke Neo-Marxist cult that’s taken over the Democratic party and is attempting to take over the country. Traditional Marxists incite and capitalize on conflict between economic classes as a means to power but that approach hasn’t had much success in the prosperous US. Modern Neo-Marxists have found much greater success by inciting conflict using the far more emotionally charged racial, sexual identity and climate change hot button issues, all made possible by their ideologically aligned legacy media, new media, big tech and social media allies. To capitulate to any individual demand of the rising authoritarian left is to give ground to the movement as a whole as it pursues its long term goal of establishing an authoritarian one party socialist state.
