Highlights from Gallup:

- 86% of Democrats, 60% of independents, 27% of Republicans want stricter laws
- Stable 46% of U.S. adults say there is a gun in their household
A majority of Americans (57%) say they support stricter gun control laws, but the number is down from a higher level in June (66%).
That’s according to Gallup.
A sharp increase in support for stricter laws was seen after mass shootings in Uvalde, Texas, and Buffalo, New York.
Though support has fallen nine percentage points since June, it’s still higher than the reading in October 2021 (52%) and equals 2020 (57%)
About 32% of Americans say gun laws should be kept as they are now, and 10% would like to see them made less strict, according to Gallup.
Sentiment on gun control tends to ebb and flow with mass shooting incidents.

It should not be surprising that more citizens are purchasing firearms for personal protection. WIth the rising crime rate, failure of Prosecutors to charge and judges failing to adhere to even minimum sentencing it is not surprising more are not opposing stricter firearm restrictions.
I would not be surprised to find that many of those new firearm owners also have a concern about tryrannical government over reach. The corruption within the DOJ is quite troubling and the election fiasco in AZ and PA shows the democrats are going to remain in control by hook or by crook!
