Sixty-four percent (64%) of those polled say we should stop giving billions of dollars to both Ukraine and Israel.
That’s according to the latest unscientific poll at SharylAttkisson.com.
Almost a third, 30%, of respondents said we should give keep giving money, but only to Israel; one percent (1%) said we should continue funding Ukraine only.
Four percent (4%) said we should continue to fund both countries.
According to an October U.S. News and World Report article, in 2021, U.S. obligations to Israel amounted to $3.31 billion, a figure that saw Israel returning to the top spot among aid recipients that year.
However, in 2022, the US committed $12 billion to Ukraine in its defense against Russia’s invasion, far exceeding Israel’s $3.18 billion that year. Billions more have been sent since.
While some figures are still considered “partial,” total US aid globally for 2022 currently adds up to more than $60 billion, a level not seen since 1951.
To date, the US Congress has approved around $46.6 billion in direct military aid to Ukraine since Russia’s invasion.

NOT seeing it — except for a black box related to a poll about whether I’m looking forward to Christmas.
Anyway, (1) There are plenty of billionaires that can and do support Israel with their OWN money, and (2) Too much of the taxpayer money that is sent to Ukraine (and maybe Israel, too) is coming back to US politicians as kickbacks. Billions of dollars are unaccounted for in what has become a HUGE slush fund.
Enough it more than enough — enough is too much.
Sharyl keep fighting the good fight! Your about the only honest investigative journalist left.
Antisemitism masquerading as anti-Israel. Let Israel fall into Iran’s hands and see what happens next. In addition to the second Holocaust where millions of Jews and Israeli Arabs are massacred, the spigot of oil America depends on (more so after Biden’s actions) will be closed. Then comes the despotic theocracy’s march against the Arab monarchs and “democracy” like Egypt as they seek to re-create the Islamic caliphate. As an aside, check out the medical and technological innovation that Israel has provided to the entire world. That will be gone in a flash. No, it may feel good to those without any knowledge of the Middle East and to the haters of Jews to say enough money to Israel, but consider the consequences. I believe closing the southern border and stopping the financing of millions of illegal aliens would be a better move.
So many Americans are so ill informed. The vast majority of the money that is being wasted is not going to either place. It is being spent on an extravagant shopping spree by a flamer named little
Petey Bootygig with an unlimited taxpayer credit card. He is the point man for the Bidenomics plan to purchase votes by “investing”, $6 trillion that they do not have. Although I lament the ignorance of people who think that governments have profits to “invest”. What they are doing is printing money that causes inflation, and makes every American poorer, while making the Big Guy and his liberal cronies richer.
It is not the US responsibility to fund the rest of the world for any reason.
ALL foreign aid should be halted until the US government gets control of the National Debt.
Say bringing it down below $20 Trillion before another penny is shipped out of the country. Then only funds going to nations who in turn support US ideals of individual freedoms until the NatDebt is less than $10Trillion. No foreign aid to support wars that only make the industrial military corporations wealthy as they pay lobbyists and fund campaigns of the politicians who will play with them in the scheme to screw taxpayers.
Shut it all dow for now!
My father and I were both heavy drinkers. When I visited him, around 12:30 AM or so he would announce “It’s time for bed, we are borrowing on tomorrow”. America is borrowing on tomorrow. I question that. I question endless war as a business strategy. God bless America.

P.S.
“The greatest danger to the State is independent intellectual criticism;
there is no better way to stifle that criticism than to attack any isolated
voice, any raiser of new doubts, as a profane violator of the wisdom of
his ancestors. Another potent ideological force is to deprecate the
individual and exalt the collectivity of society. For since any given rule
implies majority acceptance, any ideological danger to that rule can
only start from one or a few independently thinking individuals. The
new idea, much less the new critical idea, must needs begin as a small
minority opinion; therefore, the State must nip the view in the bud by
ridiculing any view that defies the opinions of the mass. ’Listen only to
your brothers’ or ’adjust to society’ thus become ideological weapons
for crushing individual dissent. By such measures, the masses will
never learn of the nonexistence of the Emperor’s clothes.”
