Nearly half of voters say they think it’s likely the Democrat Party will find a candidate to replace President Joe Biden this year, and a former first lady is a favorite pick for the candidate switcheroo.
That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.
The survey finds 47% of likely voters say they believe it is likely Democrats will replace Biden with another candidate as their presidential nominee before the election in November, including 22% who say they see it as “very likely.”
Forty-five percent (45%) say they don’t think it’s likely Democrats will substitute another candidate for Biden, including 18% who say they consider such a scenario “not at all likely.”
Speculation about replacing Biden has been floated in the past month by such media outlets as USA Today & NBC News. If Biden were to step aside, which Democrat would be a better presidential candidate?
Fifteen percent (15%) of voters say they favor former First Lady Michelle Obama, who critics say lack even basic qualifications to hold political office let alone be president. Meanwhile 10% say they see Vice President Kamala Harris as a better candidate.
Nine percent (9%) choose former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, eight percent (8%) say they prefer California Gov. Gavin Newsom and seven percent (7%) say they would like to see Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. However, 46% say none of the named Democrats would be a better candidate than Biden.

I sure hope so. Two geriatric candidates are not a choice. We need better from this nearly broken two-party system and just are not getting it!
