A majority of voters say they think President Joe Biden is losing mental sharpness, and most suspect the media are trying to cover up the president’s cognitive decline.
That’s according to Rasmussen Reports.
The survey finds that 59% of likely voters say they think that, over time, Biden is getting less and less mentally sharp.
Thirty-three percent (33%) say they disagree.
Many critics claim Biden’s verbal miscues have gotten worse, as in a recent Wisconsin appearance when one observer remarked that it seemed the 81-year-old president was “speaking a different language.”
More recently, President Biden haltingly stumbled through remarks and couldn’t seem to think of the word “Hamas,” which is the Islamic extremist terrorist group that attacked Israel.
Sixty-one percent (61%) of voters say they believe it’s likely that the news media are helping cover up evidence of President Biden’s declining mental sharpness, including 45% who consider such a cover-up “very likely.”
Thirty-six percent (36%) say they don’t think it’s likely the media are trying to hide evidence of Biden’s mental decline, including 20% who say it’s “not at all likely.”
