(POLL) 54% say they are worse off now, than 4 years ago

The latest polling by Rasmussen Reports shows Republicans are trusted more than Democrats on voters’ top issues and, in what may be the worst omen for President Joe Biden’s reelection bid, most answer “no” to a key question.

Survey results found that just 39% of likely U.S. voters answered yes when asked, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?”

Fifty-four percent (54%) answered “no” to that question, which was made famous by Ronald Reagan in his 1980 debate with Jimmy Carter.

Voters ranked the economy and immigration as the top issues in this year’s election.

Fifty-one percent (51%) trust Republicans more to handle the economy, while 39% trust Democrats more.

On the issue of immigration, the GOP’s margin is even wider, with 54% trusting Republicans more to handle immigration and 35% trusting Democrats more, while another 11% are not sure.
