Tunnel Vision on the border

The illegal traffic crossing the border extends deep beneath the fence in amazing networks of tunnels built and used by Mexican drug cartels. The smugglers move marijuana, heroin and people through these underground highways undetected — sometimes for years. Sunday on Full Measure, we’ll take you on a rare border trip under the surface in Tunnel Vision.

From illegal smuggling to terrorism. Many have criticized the Muslim world community for not doing more to stop the violent, radical elements inside their own religion. But that’s exactly what the Muslim nation of Morocco has done. Although Morocco is in a region of North Africa that’s a hotbed of terrorist attacks, it’s remained relatively safe. Scott Thuman will tell us how they’ve done it and what lessons we can learn from them.

When you think of March Madness, you may think of basketball. But at Full Measure, we think of it as March Money Madness. We’ll highlight some of Washington’s most egregious waste of tax dollars in Follow the Money.

Finally, Republican Steve Russell has set himself apart from some of his colleagues when it comes to Muslim refugees from Syria: he thinks the U.S. shouldn’t hesitate to accept as many as possible. He’ll explain why he thinks it poses no risk.

  1. Looks to be a great show. You may want to include the back drop for the War on Drugs, which like all the wars launched by govt, are the opposite of what is claimed – https://m.nydailynews.com/news/politics/nixon-aide-war-drugs-tool-target-black-people-article-1.2573832.

The folks need to understand it is not a mystery why the war on drugs (terror, poverty, etc.) are not won, and only get worse, because other crony industries spawn out of the initial corruption (i.e. the private prison industry that “employs” judges that keep the jails full, destroying peoples lives and reducing the pool of tax paying workers).

  2. I saw your TED talk speech. Very impressive and helpful to have someone as reputable as yourself confirm the beliefs that I already had about astroturfing. My son is autistic. I don’t know for sure if immunizations played any roll or not in that, but it became clear to me that the drug and pharmaceutical industry was attacking anyone who suggested there might be a link, just as you noted they can and will do with unlimited resources. Thank you again, Ms. Attkisson
