READ: Document approved by FBI attorney Clinesmith in the FBI’s operation against Trump campaign

Recently-declassified documents show former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith was involved in the secret use of intelligence briefings for the Trump campaign as information-gathering operations.

According to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the December IG report criticized the FBI for such operations after they were revealed during the IG’s investigation.

Today, the Department of Justice announced today that Clinesmith has agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge of altering a document submitted to court in order to get a controversial wiretap against former Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

The government wiretapped and spied on page for a year as if he were a Russian spy. However, in the end, all investigations found no evidence that Page, or any American, was colluding with Russia.

  1. I assume this is a felony with some serious penalties? Tell me he isn’t going to get off with a letter of reprimand in his permanent file and retire on his pension!

    1. I agree with you, WarEagle. I am sick and tired of these “intelligence agencies” not being prosecuted for their crimes.

  2. When Democrats formed their Confederacy, spied on Americans, published fake news, planned assassinations, attacked Fort Sumpter, printed their own currency, and engaged with foreign powers, Americans didn’t call it a “conspiracy theory” – we called it WAR.
