CDC Covid oversight hearing to be livestreamed Nov. 30

The CDC’s public trust has been damaged as a result of its confusing messaging and other failures during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This lack of trust could lead to complications as America heads into respiratory illness season.

Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) and Morgan Griffith (R-Va.)

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers, and Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations Chair Morgan Griffith say they want to know what CDC has learned from its recent challenges with the Covid-19 pandemic and how the agency plans to address rebuilding public trust.

Both Democrats and Republicans have heavily criticized CDC’s pandemic actions and say the agency’s policy decisions wreaked havoc on American society. In many instances, CDC was mistaken or intentionally distributed disinformation. Yet nobody has been held accountable and there has been no plan to reform or rebuild the agency.

Public confidence in the CDC after its admitted mismanagement of Covid-19 is at an all-time low, according to surveys. House representatives have called for a hearing titled “Unmasking Challenges CDC Faces in Rebuilding Public Trust Amid Respiratory Illness Season” to be held November 30.

Dr. Mandy Cohen took over the beleaguered public health agency in July 2023 after the controversial Dr. Rochelle Walensky called it quits. She was widely considered to have mismanaged the pandemic and was personally responsible for issuing false information.

According to the Republicans, “We look forward to hearing from Director Cohen about how the agency is applying lessons learned during the pandemic to its public guidance regarding common seasonal illnesses, like influenza and RSV, so that the American people are equipped to make the best decisions for themselves and their families.”

  1. Few countries in the world have as large of a “health” administrative agency as the CDC. Unfortunately, the rest of the world took the lead from the CDC, who in turn took their lead from WHO. Fauci who should have put US interests first, was in bed with Bill Gates and the WHO. WHO took their marching orders from China.

CDC not only completely failed the US and its taxpayers who fund this irresponsible behemoth, but the CDC now failed the world. Terrible stakes were at play for this rank US bureaucratic malfeasance. They missed them all. Thank goodness a few rogue states and countries did not fall in line, so we can do a proper neutral assessment of this election year debacle.

Irony noted: people around the world trusted the US and the US failed them every way possible. The same people mistrusted Trump, yet Trump keeps getting proven right every single day. A teaching moment here.

“Covid” was not Trump’s finest hour in his waning days in office, but the real damage to both America and the rest of the world came once Biden took over after 2020. Biden immediately drove us into a cul-de-sac with Covid™. Unfortunately investment into Biden’s Covid™ narrative now requires we never learn from the mistakes we made.

    1. Couldn’t have said it better.
CDC’s historical track record is/was atrocious long before the Plandemic. But this round proved without a doubt the CDC is a puppet of Big pharma and should be abolished. And a few criminally charged for the chaos and deaths they caused.
