(POLL) Most voters say Ukraine war has reached stalemate

For the first time since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, a majority of voters now consider the war to be a stalemate.

That’s according to the latest Rasmussen Reports.

The survey found that only 14% of likely U.S. voters believe Russia is winning the war in Ukraine, down from 17% in May 2023.

Nineteen percent (19%) think Ukraine is winning, down from 25% in May.

Fifty-two percent (52%) see the war in Ukraine as basically a stalemate, up from 45% last May. Another 16% are not sure who’s winning.

At a time when many issues find voters divided along party lines, there is a remarkable consensus about the war in Ukraine – 50% of Democrats, 53% of Republicans and 52% of voters not affiliated with either major party now agree the war between Russia and Ukraine is basically a stalemate.

Despite the growing sense among voters that the war in Ukraine has become a stalemate, there does not seem to be a corresponding increase of support for a negotiated peace.

Forty-two percent (42%) still believe it would be better for American interests if Ukraine keeps fighting until the Russian invasion is completely defeated, while 40% think it would be better if Ukraine negotiates for peace with Russia.

Nineteen percent (19%) are not sure.

These findings have barely changed since May.

  1. Send money Joe.
    23 Dec. 2023
Ukraine will have to delay the payment of salaries to civil servants and pensions to millions of its citizens if the EU and the US do not provide financial assistance in early 2024.
This was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko in a comment to the Financial Times.
According to her, Ukraine will have to delay the payment of salaries for 500,000 civil servants and 1.4 million teachers, as well as payments to 10 million pensioners, if foreign aid does not arrive.
If you do the math and each person receives $3000 from Biden then that comes to about 36 billion per month. Then you still have to pay for the weapons.

This is the war that coiuld have easily been prevented. Putin made several attempts at negotiatiating an agreement in Dec. 2021 but Biden said no. No negotiations. Now we have 500,000 dead Ukraine soldiers and probably 100,000 dead Russian soldiers. These are estimates from historiucally reliable sources, like counting burials at cemeteries.
Every dollar and weapon sent to Ukraine only prolongs the war and will not change the outcome. Every dollar that prolongs the war means more dead. Send more money Joe. Need to pay the soldiers and civil servants and the pensions.
